<p>Unknown Resourcing are hiring a Project Engineer &#8211; Marine for our leading R&amp;D Engineering client in Essex. The Project Engineer – Marine opportunity is an exciting permanent position to contribute to the advancement of future transportation technology. The successful candidate for this Project Engineer &#8211; Marine position will be responsible for Mechanical Design and Project Engineering of future transportation development projects. You will ideally have experience in the following sectors, Marine, Naval Engineering, Shipbuilding or Vessel Design engineering, Decarbonisation or Hydrogen experience would be advantageous.</p>
<h4><strong>Project Engineer &#8211; Marine, responsibilities:</strong></h4>
<p>Provide support to projects as required, including BOM control and management of subcontract design and analysis activity</p>
<p>Assist in the design and analysis of systems, including component selection, system integration, and performance optimisation.</p>
<p>Provide solutions for in-field failures and issues on company products and projects.</p>
<p>Identify and troubleshoot technical challenges and product issues/failures observed during operation, and propose innovative solutions.</p>
<p>Under the supervision of the Principal Engineer, support with introduction of the solution into the products/projects.</p>
<p>Work closely and consult with cross-functional teams, including design, electrical, procurement, the workshop, and external partners, to achieve project objectives.</p>
<p>Participate in testing protocols, data collection, and validation efforts to ensure the reliability and safety of the dual fuel systems.</p>
<p>Contribute to quality assurance processes and ensure that projects meet regulatory and industry standards.</p>
<p>Provide reports on work carried out, and maintain data pertaining to design, development and calibration work in line with business requirements</p>
<p>Ensure adherence to all Health &amp; Safety and Quality &amp; Environmental policies that affect the relevant work areas.</p>
<h4><strong>Project Engineer &#8211; Marine, requirements:</strong></h4>
<p>Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering</p>
<p>Strong interest &amp; passion in decarbonisation and robust technologies that are used for harsh environments (high TRL technologies)</p>
<p>“Keep It Simple” and “thinking out of the box” mentality.</p>
<p>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</p>
<p>Strong verbal, written communication skills and teamwork abilities.</p>
<p>Familiarity with engineering software tools (Matlab/Simulink) and CAD design (e.g. CATIA/Solidworks) is a plus.</p>

The Principle Engineer – Marine is an exhilarating permanent position to contribute to the advancement of future transportation technology. The successful Principle Engineers will be responsible for a small team of Design, Project Engineering team, including both Mechanical and Electrical R&amp;D engineering to work on Future transportation development projects. You will ideally have experience in the following sectors, Marine, Naval Engineering, Shipbuilding or Vessel Design engineering, Decarbonisation or Hydrogen experience would be advantageous.</p>
<p><strong> </strong><strong>Principle Engineer &#8211; Marine, Future Technology responsibilities:</strong></p>
<p>Owns the technical development of one or more development projects. Responsibility includes all technical aspects of the product, including but not limited to mechanical design, electrical design, system performance (diesel displacement), compliance to all legal requirement.</p>
<p>Strive to obtain an expert level understanding of all technical knowledge with reference to design and legislation of your product.</p>
<p>Responsible for the audit and quality of the designer and support engineer’s work.</p>
<p>Responsible for team communication, motivation and development to ensure technical knowledge and skills are developed and kept up to date with marine industry and certification standards.</p>
<p>Ensure the project is delivered from concept through to completion following all steps of the gateway process.</p>
<p>Carry out technical investigations of field problems, and provide technical solutions. Conduct project reviews to ensure continuous learning and improvement are built into next generation processes and products.</p>
<p>Co-ordinate with team members and utilize own engineering skills and tools to meet product requirements, program delivery and business objectives.</p>
<p>Monitors project budget and product cost.</p>
<p>Co-ordinate activities with the required stakeholders.</p>
<p>Ensure adherence to all Health &amp; Safety, Quality &amp; Environmental policies that affect the relevant work areas.</p>
<p>Liaise with Classification societies, flag states, product owner, Fleet Manager and procurement throughout the projects.</p>
<p>Ensure compliance and lead safety analysis including FMEA, HAZID and HAZOP.</p>
<p>Represent company in a professional manner in all interactions.</p>
<p>Working on other projects and tasks as and when required.</p>

<p><strong>Principle Engineer &#8211; Marine, Future Technology requirements:</strong></p>
<p>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related field of study, or an equivalent by experience.</p>
<p>Minimum of five (5) years relevant engineering/marine experience.</p>
<p>Experience in any of the following is preferred and highly valued:</p>

<li>Shipbuilding</li>
<li>Marine Classification</li>

<p>Understanding of engineering product development for Marine systems</p>
<p>Experience of gateway processes and reporting.</p>

<p>Computer and software systems skills such as MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.</p>
<p>Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders.</p>
<p>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</p>
<p>Exceptional ownership of technical content.</p>
<p>Good organizational skills.</p>
<p>Must be self-motivated with excellent follow through.</p>

<p><strong>Senior Hardware Electronics Engineer</strong> responsibilities:</p>
<p>Supporting Department management activities; planning, reviews, process development, mentoring;</p>
<p>Supporting Project Acquisition by providing estimates of time and budgets;</p>
<p>Liaising with Customer Representatives and other members of the Project Team to agree product hardware requirements, and to resolve specification deficiencies;</p>
<p>Liaising with the Project Manager and other members of the Project Team to establish hardware feature content and requirements for internal and customer releases;</p>
<p>Providing Technical Leadership on development projects to the team; taking a primary role in the hardware design and development process including: hardware requirements specification and analysis, hardware system design, hardware functional design, hardware specification, participation in peer and formal reviews, preparation of test plans, specification and procurement of test equipment, coordinating and supporting the manufacture and test of prototypes;</p>
<p>Providing accurate and timely information relating to the progress of assigned tasks and activities, problem areas, project concerns, recovery actions etc.;</p>
<p>Promoting the orderly progression of hardware integration by ensuring assigned activities are completed to the schedule agreed with the Project Team;</p>
<p>Generating work plans for engineers allocated to the Project;</p>
<p>Ensure that hardware development work is conducted in accordance with Company policies and procedures, and that such work meets relevant project, customer and Company quality and safety standards;</p>
<p>Ensure all supporting documentation relating to a hardware release is complete and accurate (including but not limited to: requirements documents, design documents, design review reports, test plans &amp; results, user documentation) and is held according to the Company’s policies;</p>
<p>Ensure the relevant hardware lifecycle is followed for assigned engineering activities;</p>
<p>Identify areas for improvement including tools, techniques and processes;</p>
<p>Ensure that any safety concerns identified are recorded in the project hazard log and are brought to the attention of the Chief Hardware Engineer;</p>
<p>Ensure that any problems encountered during the hardware design and development process which might affect the performance or quality of the final product are brought to the immediate attention of the Project Manager and Chief Hardware Engineer;</p>
<p>Liaising with the Customer to establish priorities and resolve timing conflict;</p>
<p>Act as chair and arbiter during formal design reviews.</p>
<p><strong>Senior Hardware Electronics Engineer</strong> Requirements:</p>
<p>Degree-qualified in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical and Electronic Engineering);</p>
<p>Experience of small to medium volume manufacturing and assembly techniques appropriate to HV Power Electronics;</p>
<p>Experience of Si, SiC and GaN technology up to 1200V.</p>
<p>Experience of Power Conversion; Converter and Inverter up to 300kW.</p>
<p>Experience in HSD with latest range of Safety Processors; Infineon and NXP primarily.</p>
<p>Experienced and familiar with using ECAD; Altium, Zuken, PSpice, Spice, MathCAD including general engineering tools;</p>
<p>Experience in the use of model-based development tools including Matlab, Simulink;</p>
<p>Experience and understanding of ISO26262 including process and design methologies;</p>
<p>Good troubleshooting, test and analysis skills;</p>
<p>Good written and verbal communication skills; supporting customer meetings, issues resolution and report writing;</p>
<p>Proficiency with standard office tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project etc.);</p>
<p>A flexible approach in terms of working hours;</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Unknown Recruitment is looking for a Principle RF Design Engineer for our US client located in Richardson, TX due to continued growth and customer demand.</p>
<p>The Principle RF Design Engineer will be responsible for Design of beamforming and MIMO radio transceivers and circuit blocks for 3G/4G and developing 5G systems, the ideal engineer will have solid knowledge of wireless infrastructure architectures and air interface standards including LTE and HSPA.</p>
<p><strong>Principle RF Design Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<p>Conduct high level design, simulation, and detailed design of wireless product RF/ mmWave section including active RF electronics and passive RF structures based on the RF subassembly requirements and RP architecture including power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, oscillators, distributed and lumped filters, upconverters, downconverters, quadrature modulators and demodulators, RF switches, duplexers, matching circuits, phase shifter circuits, DC power conversion, sequencing, and digital control functions.</p>
<p>Conduct circuit analyses and simulation of passive and active circuits using Microwave Office, Keysight ADS, and HFSS to ensure compliance with requirements accounting for variations in device behavior, temperature, and power supply.</p>
<p>Conduct component research and selection based on defined architecture and supporting subassembly requirements while minimizing cost, power consumption, size, and weight.</p>
<p>Conduct RF prototype circuit and device evaluations to determine fit into RP design.</p>
<p>Conduct schematic capture, define PCB requirements and stack-up, coordinate PCB physical dimensioning, define optimum component placement, and support PCB layout.</p>
<p>Conduct engineering and DVT testing of subassemblies to ensure the functionality and performance requirements are met.&nbsp;Verify circuit characteristics including S-parameters, phase noise, noise figure, intermodulation, and EVM using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, noise figure analyzers, arbitrary waveform generators, vector signal analyzers, and power meters.</p>
<p>Support top assembly integration to ensure full functionality and performance at the RP level.</p>
<p>Define sub-assembly DVT, engineering test, and production test requirements and coordinate with test engineers to develop appropriate test systems.</p>
<p>Support top assembly engineering test, DVT, and qualification and certification testing.</p>
<p><strong>Principle RF Design Engineer Educational and Experience Requirement:</strong></p>
<p>Extensive experience in cellular MIMO and mmWave RF circuit design and layout.</p>
<p>Detailed understanding of receiver and transmitter functional blocks and capabilities including power amplifiers, filters, duplexers, oscillators, frequency converters, modulators, and demodulators, RF switches, matching circuits, and phase shifter circuits.</p>
<p>Experience in behavioral and circuit simulation using Microwave Office, Keysight ADS and distributed circuit element and transition simulation using HFSS.</p>
<p>Understanding of transmitter and receiver impairments including sources of thermal noise, phase noise, non-linearities, PIM, group delay, intermodulation, spurious and simulation of EVM and impairment impact.</p>
<p>Understanding of microwave and mmW receiver and transmitter architectures and devices including discretes, MMICs, and RFICs in packaged, wafer scale, or flip chip mounting configurations.</p>
<p>Experience in design of distributed circuits including couplers, matching circuits, bias tees, and edge-coupled filters using multiple transmission line techniques including microstrip and coplanar waveguide across multiple substrate types including PCB and ceramic.</p>
<p>Skilled in thorough documentation of detailed design, analysis, and test results and presentation of design concept and test results.</p>
<p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</p>
<p>Excellent organizational skills.</p>
