<p>Unknown Resourcing are looking to hire a Principle Engineer &#8211; Marine to join our R&amp;D Engineering client in Essex. The Principle Engineer – Marine is an exhilarating permanent position to contribute to the advancement of future transportation technology. The successful Principle Engineers will be responsible for a small team of Design, Project Engineering team, including both Mechanical and Electrical R&amp;D engineering to work on Future transportation development projects. You will ideally have experience in the following sectors, Marine, Naval Engineering, Shipbuilding or Vessel Design engineering, Decarbonisation or Hydrogen experience would be advantageous.</p>
<p><strong> </strong><strong>Principle Engineer &#8211; Marine, Future Technology responsibilities:</strong></p>
<p>Owns the technical development of one or more development projects. Responsibility includes all technical aspects of the product, including but not limited to mechanical design, electrical design, system performance (diesel displacement), compliance to all legal requirement.</p>
<p>Strive to obtain an expert level understanding of all technical knowledge with reference to design and legislation of your product.</p>
<p>Responsible for the audit and quality of the designer and support engineer’s work.</p>
<p>Responsible for team communication, motivation and development to ensure technical knowledge and skills are developed and kept up to date with marine industry and certification standards.</p>
<p>Ensure the project is delivered from concept through to completion following all steps of the gateway process.</p>
<p>Carry out technical investigations of field problems, and provide technical solutions. Conduct project reviews to ensure continuous learning and improvement are built into next generation processes and products.</p>
<p>Co-ordinate with team members and utilize own engineering skills and tools to meet product requirements, program delivery and business objectives.</p>
<p>Monitors project budget and product cost.</p>
<p>Co-ordinate activities with the required stakeholders.</p>
<p>Ensure adherence to all Health &amp; Safety, Quality &amp; Environmental policies that affect the relevant work areas.</p>
<p>Liaise with Classification societies, flag states, product owner, Fleet Manager and procurement throughout the projects.</p>
<p>Ensure compliance and lead safety analysis including FMEA, HAZID and HAZOP.</p>
<p>Represent company in a professional manner in all interactions.</p>
<p>Working on other projects and tasks as and when required.</p>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Principle Engineer &#8211; Marine, Future Technology requirements:</strong></p>
<p>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related field of study, or an equivalent by experience.</p>
<p>Minimum of five (5) years relevant engineering/marine experience.</p>
<p>Experience in any of the following is preferred and highly valued:</p>
<ul>
<li>Shipbuilding</li>
<li>Marine Classification</li>
<li>Hydrogen and / or Fuel cells</li>
<li>Oil and Gas, CNG, LNG, etc</li>
</ul>
<p>Strong technical knowledge and engineering skills, with proven ability to deliver against time, cost and quality targets.</p>
<p>An eye for detail in technical content.</p>
<p>Communicate project status, technical information, and risks to Chief Engineer and stakeholders.</p>
<p>Understanding of engineering product development for Marine systems</p>
<p>Experience of gateway processes and reporting.</p>
<p>Ability to work on complex projects and multi-task effectively.</p>
<p>Computer and software systems skills such as MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.</p>
<p>Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders.</p>
<p>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</p>
<p>Exceptional ownership of technical content.</p>
<p>Good organizational skills.</p>
<p>Must be self-motivated with excellent follow through.</p>
<p>Ability to travel for 20% of the time. There will be a need to work at times in different company locations in Netherland, /Belgium and UK based on project needs.</p>

<p>Experience of small to medium volume manufacturing and assembly techniques appropriate to HV Power Electronics;</p>
<p>Experience of Si, SiC and GaN technology up to 1200V.</p>
<p>Experience of Power Conversion; Converter and Inverter up to 300kW.</p>
<p>Experience in HSD with latest range of Safety Processors; Infineon and NXP primarily.</p>
<p>Experienced and familiar with using ECAD; Altium, Zuken, PSpice, Spice, MathCAD including general engineering tools;</p>
<p>Experience in the use of model-based development tools including Matlab, Simulink;</p>
<p>Experience and understanding of ISO26262 including process and design methologies;</p>
<p>Good troubleshooting, test and analysis skills;</p>
<p>Good written and verbal communication skills; supporting customer meetings, issues resolution and report writing;</p>
<p>Proficiency with standard office tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project etc.);</p>
<p>A flexible approach in terms of working hours;</p>

<p><strong><em>Cyber Security Development Engineer responsibilities:</em></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Responsible for Automotive Cybersecurity; the cross-discipline approach to Vehicle Resilience will allow successful applicants the opportunity to work on the safety, security and connectivity aspects both internally and externally to the vehicle.</li>
<li>Using a systems engineering approach, guide customers on specifying Security and Connectivity requirements including Over the Air (OTA) updates.</li>
<li>Responsible to carry our risk assessment (TARA) on ECU’s and associated functions/features in line with ISO 21434.</li>
<li>Vehicle, System and Component level Requirements Management, decomposition and Specification definition.</li>
<li>Security alignment with customer and supplier management.</li>
<li>Responsible for developing Cyber Resilience concepts on ECU and Vehicle level.</li>
<li>Guide customers on IT and electronic engineering best practices.</li>
<li>Meeting deadlines for deliverables to quality cost and time.</li>
<li>Liaising with local and European technical design / engineering resources for project support.</li>
<li>Coordinate cross-functional reviews for the resolution of technical issues.</li>
<li>Other tasks as assigned by manager.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><em>Cyber Security Development Engineer Requirements:</em></strong></p>
<p><strong><em> </em></strong>Relevant degree or similar engineering qualification. Chartership would be beneficial.</p>
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronics architecture in particular vehicle networks.</li>
<li>Knowledge of regulations/standards (SAE/ISO) and associated regulatory frameworks such as ISO 21434, SAE 3061 and UNECE WP29.</li>
<li>Knowledge of software signing, secure boot and associated cryptographic techniques.</li>
<li>Familiarity with cyber-security engineering; identifying threat vectors and conducting threat</li>
<li>analysis and risk assessment in conjunction with functional safety engineering team.</li>
<li>Familiarity with authentication, encryption techniques, key management and HSM.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environment for certificates and key assignment.</li>
<li>Must be able to capture requirements, write technical specifications, integrate and test.</li>
<li>Knowledge of security techniques defined in ISO 14229 and Autosar (SecOC).</li>
<li>Strong working experience of working in the security function/s and have spent time handling security incidents and security threat management.</li>
<li>Evidence of having worked at multiple stages of the V cycle using systems engineering approach.</li>
<li>Experience in project management and product delivery; experience of software development and releasing would be beneficial.</li>
<li>Experience of working with change management tool such as JIRA, SVN, GIT; ALM and PLM knowledge would be highly beneficial.</li>
<li>You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical language into clear, accurate terminology that non-technical people will understand.</li>
<li>Able and willing to travel overseas as required by the project or company.</li>

<p>Providing accurate and timely information relating to the progress of assigned tasks and activities, problem areas, project concerns, recovery actions etc;</p>
<p>Liaising with Customer Representatives and other members of the Project Team to agree product hardware requirements, and to resolve specification deficiencies;</p>
<p>Liaising with internal and external Test Facilities to plan and support product design validation activities;</p>
<p>Liaising with internal and external Manufacturing Facilities to support product manufacture;</p>
<p>Assisting other members of the Project Team to understand the hardware design;</p>
<p>Promoting the orderly progression of hardware integration by ensuring assigned activities are completed to the schedule agreed with the Project Team;</p>
<p>Generating work plans for Electronic Technicians allocated to the Project;</p>
<p>Liaising with the Project Manager and other members of the Project Team to establish hardware feature content and requirements for internal and customer releases;</p>
<p>Take a primary role in the hardware design and development process including: hardware requirements specification and analysis, hardware system design, hardware functional design, hardware specification, participation in peer and formal reviews, preparation of test plans, specification and procurement of test equipment, coordinating and supporting the manufacture and test of prototypes;</p>
<p>Ensure that hardware development work is conducted in accordance with Company policies and procedures, and that such work meets relevant project, customer and Company quality and safety standards;</p>
<p>Ensure all supporting documentation relating to a hardware release is complete and accurate (including but not limited to: requirements documents, design documents, design review reports, test plans &amp; results, user documentation) and is held according to the Company’s policies;</p>
<p>Ensure the relevant hardware lifecycle is followed for assigned engineering activities;</p>
<p>Identify areas for improvement including tools, techniques and processes;</p>
<p>Ensure that any safety concerns identified are recorded in the project hazard log and are brought to the attention of the Chief Engineer</p>
<p>Ensure that any problems encountered during the hardware design and development process which might affect the performance or quality of the final product are brought to the immediate attention of the Project Manager and Chief Engineer Requirements:</p>
<p><strong>Hardware Electronics Engineer requirements:</strong></p>
<p>Degree-qualified in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical and Electronic Engineering);</p>
<p>Experience of small to medium volume manufacturing and assembly techniques appropriate to rotating electrical machines;</p>
<p>Experience in the use of model-based development tools including Matlab, Simulink;</p>
<p>Familiarity with external motor control systems including power electronics, control methods and position sensor requirements would be advantageous;</p>
<p>Good test and analysis skills;</p>
<p>Good written and verbal communication skills;</p>
<p>Proficiency with standard office tools: Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc;</p>
<p>A team player with the additional ability to work alone unsupervised;</p>
<p>Highly-motivated and capable of working on concurrent activities;</p>
<p>Willingness to travel within the UK and world wide;</p>

There are two main aspects to the role, the first is working closely with our team of highly qualified and skilled engineers to manage and deliver radar security solutions globally. The second aspect is supporting the Security Sales team in a technical capacity through the bid process, with customer facing meetings and events. Experience of radar is not necessary, as full product specific training will be provided. The role will be based in Oxfordshire but you should expect to spend up to 25% of your time traveling around the world.</p>

<p>Your main tasks and responsibilities as <strong>Security Project Engineer </strong>will include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Planning, implementing and reporting on the progress of Security projects (including on site) to meet the project requirements. This includes production of project documentation and reports, planning, system commissioning, system optimisation, configuration, acceptance testing, and customer operations &amp; maintenance training. This is normally performed alongside a systems integration company.</li>
<li>Monitoring systems performance, diagnosing problems and proposing/implementing rectification action.</li>
<li>Coordinating problem resolution with engineering, software and customer support.</li>
<li>Assisting the Product Development Team with field testing of new products</li>
<li>Assisting the Sales Team In performing customer demonstrations and site surveys</li>
<li>Liaising with clients to identify project requirements as well as designing technical solutions in accordance to those.</li>
<li>Working individually or as a team to submit technical sales and/or tender documentation to various project stakeholders in accordance to project requirements and/or tender specifications, policies and procedures.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Security Project Engineer </strong>Requirements:</p>
<ul>
<li>Critical thinking</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Excellent verbal communication skills, high level of integrity and the ability to liaise confidently with the customer in a high-pressure environment.</li>
<li>Good organisational skills, ability to plan own work in conjunction with team members and customers</li>
<li>Self-motivated and ability to work independently</li>
<li>Aptitude for quickly learning new software tools and hardware systems</li>
<li>Attention to detail and good written communication skills</li>
<li>Good oral presentation skills</li>
<li>At least 2 years engineering experience in a project environment and customer facing role highly desirable</li>
<li>Proven &#8220;hands-on&#8221; practical experience highly desirable</li>
<li>Educated to HNC Level or higher in an engineering subject. (Experience can be considered in place of qualifications)</li>
