Powertrain Legislation and Certification Specialist (Marine) Responsibilities:

Unknown Resourcing are seeking a Powertrain Legislation, Certification, homologation Engineer / Specialist for our leading R&D client. The successful candidate will support the Marine team through the product certification process to interpret and comply with various global hydrogen and marine standards, including but not limited to, engine and hydrogen fuel storage and delivery system approvals.

Maintain up to date knowledge of industry standards and applicable rules, monitor legislative changes and assess their potential impact on dual-fuel engine and hydrogen system approvals.

Act as an interface for external parties (e.g. Classification Societies) to exchange testing and witnessing requirements and cascade requirements to the engineering and calibration teams.

Oversee multiple complex schedules, setting priorities for internal teams.

Advise Company management of the legislation/compliance project statuses on a regular basis.

Developing new project legislation approval, e.g. spearheading underdeck storage concepts, new engines, in-service inspection requirements, etc

Your main tasks and responsibilities as Hardware Test Engineer will include:

• Carry out Design Verification Testing for new PCBs, during all stages of the design and development process. This will involve confirming the design meets the original specification and works over operating extremes, e.g. of temperature and supply voltage.
